She will be attending the University of Florida in the fall and will be majoring in Creative Photography and Advertising.
Murphy Announces Winner in 2018 Congressional Art Competition
Winter Park student's art will hang in U.S. Capitol
WASHINGTON – U.S. Congresswoman Stephanie Murphy today announced that Jessie Li White, a senior at Trinity Preparatory School in Winter Park, Fla., is the winner of her 2018 Congressional Art Competition. A panel of local art teachers reviewed over 50 submissions from high school students in Florida's Seventh Congressional District during a recent exhibition event hosted by Murphy and ultimately selected White's piece, titled "Self-Portrait," as the winning artwork. The Congressional Institute, which sponsors the yearly competition, will now fly White to Washington, D.C., for a special ceremony alongside the winners of other participating congressional districts.
