On May 15-16, Trinity Prep middle school students representing all three grade levels competed in the International Academic Competition History Bee and Bowl National Championships. Two teams qualified for nationals. Our teams competed against dozens of other teams from around the nation. Students dedicated scores of hours over many weekends competing remotely this year.
At nationals, the Middle School Blue Team captained by Nikolas P. '25 placed 6th in the nation overall. Both Nikolas and Zara K. '25 round out their Middle School Bee and Bowl time with numerous playoff appearances and recognitions.
“This represents the 5th year in a row that our middle school has qualified for and reached at least the quarterfinals in national-level competitions for middle school,” said Kevin Keith, MS History Bee/Bowl Coach. “Best of luck to all of our 8th-grade captains as they move on to compete in upper school competitions.”
The TPS middle school program continues next year with a record number of participants - over 18 in total - the largest ever. This makes it one of the largest middle school teams in the nation.
