100 Fly for the 4th time this season: Claire Maiocco
The Trinity Prep swim team achieved a variety of accomplishments at the state championships ranging from breaking school and state records to winning the state title in an event. The team consisting of Matt Degtyar, George Reuter, Luke Uttley, and Reese Gawronski broke school records in the 200 Fr Relay and 400 Fr Relay. George Reuter also individually broke the school record for the 100 Fly. On the girl's side, the team consisting of Grace Olivardia, Caroline White, Claire Maiocco, and Summer Heidish broke the school record for the 200 Medley Relay, and Caroline White achieved individual success in setting a new school record in the 100 Breaststroke.
The girls not only broke school records, they also took home state championship titles in the events described above. Their impressive times guaranteed their All-American status, and Claire Maiocco also achieved All-American times in the 100 Fly for the fourth time this season. To cap off the the extraordinary list of accomplishments, Caroline White broke the state record for the 100 Breaststroke event.

Trinity Prep senior Caroline White smashed a state finals record in the 100-yard breaststroke and area teams took three of the top five places in the Class 1A state swimming and diving championships on Friday.
White, a senior, broke the FHSAA record with an automatic All-America time of one minute, 1.68 seconds to win by more than two seconds at Sailfish Splashpark in Stuart.
White was runner-up in the 200 individual medley and swam on the Saints winning 200 medley relay that included Claire Maiocco, Summer Heidish and Grace Olivardia.
