Eighty-eight students from the Trinity Prep theater troupe recently participated in the Thespian District Festival at Lyman High School, and we're pleased to announce their outstanding results. They took part in 18 individual events as well as a group performance and received three excellent ratings and 15 superior ratings.
The group act they performed was given an "excellent" in performance and a "superior" in technical skill. Tony Moreno '17 won the award for "Best in Show" for his solo musical performance, and Maddie Walker '16 was awarded "Best Actress" for her performance in the group act. Walker was also named the recipient of the musical theater scholarship. The Trinity Prep troupe was named third most caring theater troupe in the district because of their involvement in "Equity Fights AIDS." They will go on to compete in the state festival in March.
