On Wednesday, Feb. 3, two Trinity Prep senior athletes committed to play college sports as part of National Signing Day. Gabe Thomas of Orlando will play football at the University of Richmond, and Cormac Begley of Oviedo has signed with the University of North Florida for soccer.
The students attended the signing ceremony on Wednesday dressed in their respective college apparel and took pictures with parents and coaches to symbolically honor a commitment to pursue their sports at the collegiate level. The occasion is tremendously important both to remember all of the hard work that the athletes put into their sports, and to signal continued commitments in college.
