Trinity Prep Forensics wins big at National tournament

From May 27 to 29, the Trinity Prep Forensics team competed in Sacramento, California, in the National Catholic Forensics League's grand national tournament. Almost 2,000 competitors competed in eight events over the course of the tournament, and our students did exceedingly well.

Sumer and Saumya Sao made it to the qualifying round in duo interpretation.

Alexandra Lipton also made it to the qualifying round in extemporaneous speaking.

Lalee Ibssa advanced to the octo-final round (top 32) in oral interpretation.

Amy Sukserm octo-finaled in the original oratory category.

Aaron Patel octo-finaled in extemporaneous speaking.

Nat Saffran semi-finaled (top 12) in extemporaneous speaking.

Valerie Trapp finaled in student congress.

Varun Bhatia took sixth place in extemporaneous speaking, and Justin Graham was the national champion in the same category.

In addition to these outstanding awards, Trinity Prep received the Founder's Award for Excellence in Speech. The award is given to the top five schools in the tournament. This is the second year in a row Trinity Prep has received the award.
