The middle school production of "Seussical the Musical" is Friday and Saturday (Nov. 8-9) night at 7:30 p.m. in the Trinity Prep Auditorium. Come out and see the fun musical featuring the likes of Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, and the Whos. "Seussical the Musical" is $5 for students and $10 for adults. The show is directed by Donna Walker.

Trinity Prep Seniors Win National Merit Scholarships
Seniors Matthew Castro and Olivia Demetriades have been selected as winners of National Merit Scholarships. Both Matthew and Olvia are winners of the National Merit $2,500 Scholarship, underwritten by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation with its own funds.
All winners of the approximately 7,500 National Merit Scholarships are chosen from the group of approximately 15,000 National Merit Finalists. In order to advance in the competition and be considered for a Merit Scholarship Award, a Semifinalist had to become a Finalist by fulfilling several requirements that included submitting a detailed scholarship application and presenting a record of very high academic achievement.
Approximately 2,500 National Merit $2,500 Scholarships will be offered to the Class of 2019 nationwide, and every National Merit Finalist is considered for the award. Winners are named in every state, in numbers based on the state’s percentage of the nation’s high school graduating seniors.
The National Merit Corporation also offers both College-sponsored and Corporate-sponsored National Merit scholarships, and winners of these scholarships will be announced by the National Merit Corporation later this spring.

AUCTION VOLUNTEER MEETING

BOOK DRIVE and BOOK SALE
The friends of the library and the middle school library club are collecting books during drop-off on Nov. 19 and 20 in preparation for our very first Book Sale on Dec. 10 and 11. The proceeds from the sale will be used to sponsor the TPS Author Fest, and any extra books will be donated to local charities. Clear out your closets and shop early for the holidays at the same time!

10-Year and 20-Year Milestone TPS Employees
Three of our employees have reached their 10-year milestones with Trinity Prep.
Mr. Burmeister brings a high level of expectations to everything he does. Whether it is teaching government, coaching basketball, working with the history bowl program. He displays excellence at every turn.
Mr. Mahler is talented, diligent in his efforts, and understands our campus from every angle. We are blessed to have his talents on display as he supports all school operations.
Ms. Walker abundant in energy and enthusiasm, Ms. Walker encourages students to get involved with our theater dept. Many of our seniors have been able to check off their bucket list participation in a show because of her efforts to include them. We are grateful for her impact outside of the classroom as well. She is a true campus leader.
The next 2 employees have reached their 20-year milestone with Trinity Prep.
Mrs. Dowdy has served the science department and the greater Trinity Prep community with true dedication and commitment. Her clear and thoughtful approach to classroom instruction allows her students an authentic science experience. As a coach, she has consistently shown an energy and drive that guides her athletes to develop into their best selves. We are lucky to have her.
Ms. Frederick has been a cornerstone to the computer department since joining Trinity. Her dedication helped launch the program and she continues to develop our robotics and coding programs. Along with all she does as a teacher, she has proven to be a strong coach as well. coach.

Trinity Prep Seniors Win National Merit Scholarships
Seniors Matthew Castro and Olivia Demetriades have been selected as winners of National Merit Scholarships. Both Matthew and Olvia are winners of the National Merit $2,500 Scholarship, underwritten by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation with its own funds.
All winners of the approximately 7,500 National Merit Scholarships are chosen from the group of approximately 15,000 National Merit Finalists. In order to advance in the competition and be considered for a Merit Scholarship Award, a Semifinalist had to become a Finalist by fulfilling several requirements that included submitting a detailed scholarship application and presenting a record of very high academic achievement.
Approximately 2,500 National Merit $2,500 Scholarships will be offered to the Class of 2019 nationwide, and every National Merit Finalist is considered for the award. Winners are named in every state, in numbers based on the state’s percentage of the nation’s high school graduating seniors.
The National Merit Corporation also offers both College-sponsored and Corporate-sponsored National Merit scholarships, and winners of these scholarships will be announced by the National Merit Corporation later this spring.

Eight Trinity Prep Seniors Offered National Merit Scholarships
Trinity Prep seniors John Baldwin, Will Driscoll, Setareh Gooshvar, Andrew Kwa, Dominic Martinez, Andrew Miller, Olivia Miller, and Jackie Wang have each been offered college-sponsored National Merit Scholarships.
The National Merit Corporation offers several types of scholarships including college-sponsored scholarships.
Approximately 200 colleges and universities underwrite more than 4,800 National Merit Scholarships annually. Only National Merit Finalists who plan to attend a college or university that sponsors Merit Scholarship Awards can be considered for one. Winners are chosen by officials of the sponsor college or university.
In order to be considered for any of these scholarships, students must achieve National Merit Finalist status by first qualifying as National Merit Semifinalists, by fulfilling several additional requirements as part of a detailed scholarship application, and by presenting a record of very high academic performance.
