PROFESSIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITY AT TRINITY PREP
Together, Trinity Preparatory School and The Park Maitland School will co-host a Lausanne Learning Institute on March 12-13, 2020. This interschool collaboration will provide a true K-12 learning experience, with a focus on design thinking in the classroom. This is an incredible professional development opportunity for our faculty, as well as for students who will have the opportunity to participate in fishbowl experiences to showcase some of the awesome things they learn.
SAVE THE DATE!
Be sure to save the date for this exciting celebration of Trinity Prep athletics and senior athletes in April. Be on the lookout for invitations.
TRAFFIC STUDY NEXT WEEK
As a follow up to a traffic study that was done during construction of Brokaw Hall in 2015, Orange County now must conduct a 5-year review of the traffic study findings. This traffic study will take place next week, February 24-28. As part of the study, they will be asking some drivers (including students) a few questions. These are the same questions that were asked 5 years ago. Also, they will be temporarily installing a low resolution camera near the entrance of campus at the intersection of Aloma Avenue and Trinity Prep Lane in order to monitor traffic flow; however, they noted that due to it being a low-res camera, faces will be unrecognizable. All outside contractors, who will be on campus as part of the study have passed the required background checks.

Seven Seniors Named Class of 2020 National Merit Finalists
Seven Trinity Prep seniors – Justin Davis, David Escue, Phoebe Fowler, Daniel Galvez, Katie Rohrbaugh, Levon Tabirian, and London Wharton – have been named 2020 National Merit Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
The TPS seniors are among the 15,000 Finalists nationwide, and the selection of some 7,500 Merit Scholarship winners will come from this group.
More than 1.6 million students in the Class of 2020 began the current National Merit competition by taking the October 2018 PSAT/NMSQT, and 16,000 Semifinalists, the highest-scoring program participants, were named last fall. As Semifinalists, these seniors submitted additional information last fall and had to meet all requirements and deadlines to advance to Finalist standing in the competition.
National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced this spring, beginning in March and continuing through July.
*Missing from the photos below is David Escue.
