Trinity Preparatory School is pleased to announce the hiring of Adrian Davila '08 as their interim varsity boys basketball coach.
Coach Davila returns to Trinity Prep after coaching at Lake Highland Preparatory School since 2011. He served as the varsity boys basketball assistant coach where he helped with in-game offensive and defensive play calling, provided film breakdown and scouting reports. Davila assisted in creating club basketball opportunities for younger age students as well as organizing and running summer basketball camps.
In addition to his position at Lake Highland, Davila was the 17 and under boys basketball assistant coach for the Q6 All-Stars Elite, a travel basketball organization, from 2014 to 2015, the lead skills trainer for Orlando Hoops, Inc. from 2012 to 2014 and the boys basketball head coach for various AAU teams from 2011 to 2013.
After graduating from Trinity Prep in 2008, Davila attended the University of Central Florida and is currently studying management at Rollins College. Davila played basketball at Trinity Prep all seven years he attended and was the MVP of the varsity team his senior year. He also ran cross country and track and participated in building houses for Habitat for Humanity. His brother Armando graduated from Trinity Prep in 2004.
Steve Bluth, athletic director at Trinity Prep, said, "We are all very excited to have Coach Adrian Davila as our head boys basketball coach next year. He brings the same passion and enthusiasm to our basketball program as he brings to his alma mater. We are all looking forward to working with him."
