Last week, the Trinity Prep chess team competed at the Florida State Scholastic Championship. The team tied for third place and finished fourth overall after a tie breaker. Freshman Jake Brodsky played in the final championship game. Brodsky tied for second place and finished fifth overall after the deciding tie breaker.
"Though I was a little nervous in the championship game," said Brodsky. "Competing in the tournament was fun because it allowed me to play against new players. Plus, I got to see some of the players that I played with at previous tournaments." Congratulations to the entire Trinity Prep Chess Team!
